Kings Canyon Waterfall Engagement

Congrats to my cousin Ken! He had truly found someone that completes him and understands him (heaven knows that I don’t… I mean Zelda and all that geeky stuff?? Nope don’t get it at all! ). Anyhow, I happened to be back in Carson City and told Ken and Amber that I would take some Engagement photos for them. It was a cold and windy day and I was a little worried that we would end up being rained out but it ended up working out perfectly. At just the right time the wind slowed to a small breeze and the sun came out to play.

Ken and Amber are doing a Glam Country theme for their big day and in keeping with that decided to keep it natural. Carson City doesn’t exactly have a lot of options for photo sessions – especially since it’s too early in the spring for the trees to be all budded out – so they decided on the Waterfall at Kings Canyon. Surprisingly the hike up to the waterfall was  a little on the green side! I was thrilled 🙂

If anyone here knows Ken or Amber, you will know that they are both fun loving and don’t mind cracking jokes. It worked out perfectly because I knew exactly what to say to make Ken laugh (he is my cousin after all, same age and graduated the same year) and because Amber is EXACTLY like him, my jokes worked on her too. Thanks for having a fun engagement session and I can’t wait till your big day!
