Cal Tech Athenaeum Wedding

Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to get back into blogging. I am so behind and I have some really wonderful weddings to show you!! Today, I am bringing you a wedding from Pasadena. Its’ a Cal Tech Athenaeum Wedding. If you don’t know about the Athenaeum then you should. It is one of the most beautiful venues to hold you wedding. It is located on the property of Cal Tech and has so many photo opportunities. You really can’t go wrong. we started out upstairs in the bridal suite which has some really amazing natural light that pours in from the giant windows. Everyone was in a really great mood and it started out day off perfectly!

Look at that ring! Isn’t it to die for? It looks so pretty on top of her sparkly shoes. Another thing that I really loved was her bouquets. Peonies in the bridal bouquet and Dahlias in the bridesmaid bouquet. Two of my favorites! Opting to have only one bridesmaid and one groomsmen also made the day much more relaxed. That is something I suggest everyone think about!

Aren’t the columns at this place amazing? It almost looks old word with the brick. Once we had completed the bridal photos, we headed over to the grooms room. Normally the groom gets ready in the library but they had rented out the library for another small luncheon and we had to use this other room instead. Although the library is really cool (and manly) we ended up getting some pretty GQ images. Blake was a trooper and did everything we asked of him and the reward? Awesome groom photos.

At the end of the day, this Cal Tech Athenaeum Wedding was spot on! Good job to Erin Grace for doing such an amazing job planning and designing the entire place.
