Christine and Tony
Petaluma Engagement Session
March… It’s one of the busiest months around here. Every year we attend a convention called WPPI in vegas which is for wedding and portrait photographers. It’s full of learning, photo shoots and like minded people. It’s always at the beginning of the month. This year it was followed up by 2 weddings, and then a quick trip to Northern California to shoot Christine and Tony’s Petaluma Engagement session. I can’t tell you how nice it was to visit them and get to know all about them before the wedding. Christine really likes textures so we decided to start out shooting some photos in the old downtown area. We made our way to this one street where many warehouses and old buildings resided. It was perfect! All we had to do was walk 10 feet and there was something different. I just loved the old rusty wall we found, don’t you??
Directly across the street was this old brick and metal wall. All the different textures were so amazing and I couldn’t help but be excited every time I looked at the back of my camera! Some people like beach photos, some like garden but I just adore city and urban. There is something about the contrast of hard and soft that makes it so appealing. The focus turns towards the couple and the background becomes this added benefit!
Just before heading to our second location we spotted this adorable dock. Christine and Tony were such troopers and we were able to get a few shots before being shooed away (yes, it was a private dock – shame on us lol)
After hopping into our car we took off for something a bit more green. Although we were running out of light, I think we got a ton of great images!
We can’t wait to share with you our next big adventure so keep your eyes open and come back later this year to see Christine and Tony’s Wedding photos!!
Until Next Time XOXO
